Meet the team
Myrna Gininwa
Pastor
Fourteen years ago, when I entered True North with my husband and 9-year-old son, I had no idea God was preparing me to lead the Church. Over the years I have had many opportunities to attend different churches, especially when I moved out of the community, but there was always a pull for me to be at True North Church. Our worship, fellowship, and genuine friendships have been more than impactful in my life and True North Church has become my family.
For two and a half years now, I have been the pastor of TNC. We are a close-knit Church, with a small membership but in growth mode. I believe that God has designed every one of us with a purpose and I intend to help all those within my reach to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, build a relationship with Him, and live out their God-given purpose.
In addition to the Ministry, I am a teacher and a lover of Mathematics. I enjoy traveling, especially to my home country, Jamaica. I visit the library or gym in my spare time and when I cannot go out, I muse with my guitar.
I am thankful to God for the call He placed on my life and for the mission to win and nurture souls for the Kingdom. If you are within reach of our community, I would love to invite you to visit us or join us. We would love to welcome you.

Married for 33 years and a mom of four, I have been at True North Church for 16 years. TNC has been an anchor for my spiritual growth and sustenance as a Sunday school teacher, leading Bible Study, etc. My kids grew up in Sunday school, Youth programs, playing drums for worship, helping with Sound, and in the Nursery. Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Our faith is not just about attending services on Sunday mornings, but taking the lessons we learn and applying them to our everyday lives. We commit ourselves to making prayer the highest priority of the church. We commit ourselves to gather regularly as the local expression of the Body of Christ to participate in Pentecostal worship that exalts God, engages the heart, mind, and soul, and challenges to deeper commitment and discipleship. We commit ourselves to intentionally reaching the unconverted, baptizing them in water, and leading them to unite with the church. We commit ourselves to identifying and developing individuals whom God has called and given leadership gifts and challenging them to become servant-leaders. We commit ourselves to identifying, training, and equipping the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. We commit ourselves to the challenge of being a church that genuinely cares for one another and for those who are lost, hurting, and needy. We commit ourselves to the principle of interdependence, acknowledging our interconnectedness and dependence on all the members of the Body of Christ.
Join us and you will find that our members are serving to make the community a better place to live. You can begin your journey with us by visiting us and become a part of our ever-growing congregation.
